Uster Märt is described by the city as the oldest market in the canton of Zurich, with roots in a medieval livestock and goods market. On the last Thursday and Friday of November, around 430 market stalls, an agricultural machinery market with about 80 exhibitors, market restaurants and fairground rides fill the town centre.
