Valais's capital runs its Christmas market for almost three weeks in December on Place du Midi and the Espace des Remparts. Stalls sell crafts, and there are discovery tents and a solidarity area where local charities present their work. A 'Chemin des Crèches' trail of nativity scenes runs alongside the market.
