Sechseläuten is Zurich's traditional spring festival. The city's guilds parade through the centre in historical costume, and the festival ends when the Böögg, a snowman figure, is burned on Sechseläutenplatz. Tradition says the faster the Böögg's head explodes, the better the summer will be. Canton Lucerne is the guest canton in 2027.
