Zurich's world-famous Bahnhofstrasse comes alive with the magical Samichlaus-Umzug on the first Sunday of Advent. Beneath the sparkling 'Lucy' holiday lights, dozens of red-robed Samichläuse, friendly Schmutzlis, festive musicians, bell-ringers, and donkeys parade down to Bürkliplatz, distributing gingerbread, peanuts, and mandarins to thousands of joyful children.
