In the beautifully preserved medieval walled village of Le Landeron, the feast of St. Nicholas is celebrated with timeless charm. Cobbled alleys glow with torches and lanterns as Saint-Nicolas arrives on his donkey accompanied by Father Whipper (Père Fouettard) to distribute gingerbread and mandarins to the children.
