Fribourg's most legendary autumn folk celebration takes over Val-de-Charmey in Gruyère. Alongside generous multi-course Bénichon feasts with cuchaule and vin cuit, the highlight is the wildly entertaining historic Hay Cart Race (Course de charrettes à foin) through the village streets.
